Yes, you read that right, fun, funny, and tasty poop cookies! Since tomorrow is April 1st, I thought it would be fun to dust off this old bake. Are you completely off your rocker now? Haha, nice pun… if I do say so myself 😉
About 4 years ago, I made these with my little girl, and what a laugh we had. Before I take all the credit, this isn’t my recipe. Back then, I wasn’t yet developing my own recipes, but I already loved being in the kitchen. For these unique cookies, all credit goes to Lady Lemonade.
But as I was saying, it’s wonderful to make these with your kids. Pure hysteria, and then enjoying them together afterwards. They also look strikingly like the poop emoji, so perfect for a treat. Or to make together at a children’s party.
So, 4 years ago I made these funny cookies, and you can tell because the photos are really bad. I took the photos back then with my phone, and it’s clear that a camera takes much better pictures. But that doesn’t change the fact that they are still nice snapshots. A lovely memory, laughing our heads off together, enjoying treats together. You can’t help but be happy about that.
Oh yeah, and not to forget, April Fools’ Day! It’s the prank of the century, especially the kids really go for this. Look, Daddy’s eating poop!!! Whaaaa, well, you can picture it, right? And they even taste like chocolate, which really completes the party!

Poopie Droppings Cookies
Ingredients
- 200 gr unsalted butter
- 150 gr light brown sugar
- 16 gr vanilla sugar
- 360 gr all-purpose flour
- 40 gr cocoa powder
- 1 egg
- 24 edible eyes
- edible glue or glaze
Instructions
- Cream the butter with both sugars until smooth.
- Add the egg and mix until well combined.
- Mix in the flour and cocoa powder until a firm dough forms.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for one hour.
- Divide the dough into 12 pieces.
- Roll each piece of dough into a ‘snake’ shape.
- Then, shape them into little droppings/piles.
- Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 175℃ (conventional heat) for about 18 minutes.
- Let the cookies cool completely on a wire rack.
- Now stick the edible eyes on them, and you’re done!
